Log an adventure
Tap Log, the button in the middle of the bottom bar. Four steps: Photos, What, Where, Share. Any adventure counts, from a small trail to a safari, today or years ago.
Updated 15 October 2026 · Android app
1. Photos: show what you did
- Tap Add photos (up to 10, from your gallery) or Add a video (one clip, up to 90 seconds).
- You pick each file yourself in your phone's picker; the app does not read your gallery.
- Tap Next. Or tap Save draft and finish it later: your drafts wait under Drafts when you tap Log again.
Location data is stripped from the files on your phone before anything is uploaded, and our server strips it again. More in privacy and location.
2. What: the activity and how wild it was
- Under What did you do?, pick the activity: hiking, diving, paragliding, kayaking and 30+ more.
- Pick the intensity: Chill, Adventure, Wild or Extreme. A 6 km loop counts as much as a skydive.
- Tap Continue.
3. Where: pick the spot
If your photo carries a location, the app reads it on your phone and suggests spots nearby. Then pick one from:
- Your recent spots or Nearby;
- Search every spot, if it isn't suggested;
- Use my location, if the app couldn't tell where the photo was taken. The app asks for approximate location only, and only then.
Not listed? Add a New spot
- Tap New spot ("Not listed? Add it for everyone.").
- Give it a Name of the spot of at least 3 letters, and an Area if you like.
- Move the map to put the pin on the spot. Public places only: no homes, no private property without permission.
- Add what people need, and whether it Needs a guide or instructor, if that applies.
- Tap Add spot. If similar spots are within 300 m, the app asks Is it one of these?: Use this keeps everyone's adventures together; No, it's a new spot adds yours.
A New spot is public for everyone and shows as a community spot, unverified. Its pin is stored to about 100 m, and it is checked by our team shortly after it appears.
If the app says Couldn't drop that pin, it is usually one of these:
- Your account is brand new: new accounts can add spots 10 minutes after signing up. Your draft is kept, so come back in a few minutes.
- The spot is outside the areas Didventure covers so far. Cyprus is covered; most other places are not yet.
You can add up to 10 new spots a day.
4. Share: your story and who sees it
- Write Your story if you like: how did it feel, what should the next person know?
- Under Who can see it, choose Everyone, Followers or Only me. The default is Everyone, unless you changed it in Settings → Privacy.
- Under Your location, choose Rounded (the default: never shown closer than about 1 km) or Hidden (no location attached; only the spot is shown).
- Read the line right above Publish. With the defaults it says "Everyone sees it after a quick review. Your location is rounded to about 1 km." Tap Change to change either.
- Tap Publish.
"Before you post" and the 18+ check
Two questions can appear when you tap Publish or Add spot, each only once:
- Are you 18 or over? if your account has no age confirmation on file yet. Tap I'm 18 or over.
- Before you post, when the Terms of Service or the Community rules have changed, or if your account was made before 15 October 2026. I agree carries on with your post; Not now leaves your draft as it is, so you can read the texts first. It never appears while you only browse. What happens when the terms change.
After you publish
- Stamp earned! The adventure is in your Passport straight away, even if only you can see it.
- A person on our team checks every new adventure before anyone else can see it. Until then it shows as Pending review under Your adventures in your Passport, then Published.
- Not approved means our team did not let it go public. We email you what we decided, why (the community rules say what is allowed), and how to appeal.
- Upload failed: tap Try again when you have a connection, or delete the draft.
In this version you cannot edit or delete an adventure in the app after posting. Write to support@didventure.com and we remove it.
Past adventures count
Did it before Didventure? Tap Log and pick photos from that day: the date comes from the photo. Or open the spot, tap I did this and set When did you do it? in your review. Either way, it gets a stamp like any other.
Adventure activities carry inherent risk. A listing here is not a safety guarantee: check the operator's current verification and your own fitness before you go.
