Create an account

  1. On the first screen, tap Start your Passport. The sheet Create your account opens.
  2. Enter your Email and a Password of at least 8 characters. Email and password are the only way to sign in for now.
  3. Tick I confirm that I am 18 or older. Didventure is about adventure, and it is for adults only.
  4. Tick I agree to the Terms of Service and the Community rules. Both names are links, and the line below links the Privacy policy. The same texts are on this website: Terms of Service, Community rules, privacy policy.
  5. Tap Create account. You go straight to Your first stamp: log an adventure, even one from years ago.

After your first stamp, the app asks once What are you into?. Pick categories and how wild you go, or tap Skip; you can change them any time in Settings.

Already have an account? Tap I already have an account and sign in. Forgot your password? Enter your email first, then tap Forgot password?: if an account exists for that address, a reset link arrives by email.

Browse first

Tap Browse first to look around without an account: the Feed (Everyone), the adventure map, Explore, spots, profiles and search. When you want to post, give stoke or follow someone, the app asks you to sign in or create an account.

The Feed and Stoke

  1. The Feed is the home tab: adventures from Everyone, or from the people you follow under Following. It is newest first and not personalised.
  2. Tap a category at the top to see one kind of adventure.
  3. Tap the flame, or double-tap a photo, to give stoke. Tap the flame again to take your stoke back.
  4. Most stoked this week shows the adventures with the most stokes in the last seven days.

Just started? The Feed says so: "You're early". Log something you've done, and yours could be one of the first.

Follow people

  1. Tap someone's name or photo to open their profile.
  2. Tap Follow. Tap Following to stop.
  3. Their adventures land in the Feed's Following tab.

Someone you block can no longer follow you: Report and Block.

The adventure map

  1. On the Feed, tap the map button (Open the adventure map).
  2. Drag it, pinch it, tap a photo to fly there and open the adventure.
  3. Tap Fly me somewhere for a surprise.

The map shows spots, not people: only adventures posted for Everyone, each pinned on its spot, snapped to about 1 km. On Android it is a flat satellite map.

Explore

  1. Open Explore: spots in Cyprus, and the recent adventures logged there.
  2. Tap Filters to narrow by intensity, season or who it suits, or search spots, activities and people.
  3. Tap the map button to see the spots as pins.

Every spot says who added it: Curated by Didventure, Listed by its operator, or Community spot · unverified when a person added it and we have not checked it.

Spots and the Bucket list

  1. Open a spot from Explore, search, the map or an adventure. Its page shows who it suits, how scary it is, the season, what you'll need, reviews and the adventures logged there.
  2. Tap the bookmark to save it to your Bucket list tab.
  3. Done it? Tap I did this to review it and get a stamp, or Log yours to post your photos.

Adventure activities carry inherent risk. A listing here is not a safety guarantee: check the operator's current verification and your own fitness before you go.

Profiles

  • Tap a name or photo to open someone's profile: their name, @handle, counts and adventures.
  • Yours: open Passport and tap Public profile to see how others see you, or Edit profile for your name, a one-line bio and a home region (never your address).
  • Links in a bio stay plain text; they are not clickable.
  • On someone else's profile, the More menu holds Report and Block.

Activity

On the Feed, tap Activity at the top: who stoked your adventures and who followed you, newest first. Tap a row to open the adventure or the person.

Notifications

  1. Open Passport and tap Settings (the sliders button at the top, next to your @handle).
  2. Under Notifications, switch on Stokes on my adventures or New followers. Your phone may ask for permission.

Every switch starts off. In this version, only stokes and new followers send notifications.

Without signal

  • Your Bucket list opens without signal, and saves you make offline are sent when you're back.
  • A finished adventure waits on your phone (Waiting to upload) and uploads by itself when you're back online. Drafts stay on your phone until you publish or delete them.
  • The Feed, the adventure map and search need a connection: tap Try again when you have one.

"You're doing that a lot"

We slow down spam: when one account or one connection does the same thing very often, such as many follows or stokes in a short time, the app pauses it and says "You're doing that a lot. Try again in a minute." Wait a minute and try again. Nothing is lost: saves and uploads that were paused try again by themselves.
